Furnace working in overdrive?

Cold weather has officially arrived! Your furnace will begin working extremely hard to keep you and your family comfortable and safe this winter. One piece of advice that unfortunately many people don’t heed is this. As soon as you spot a potential issue with your system, schedule a service call. Many people tend to wait until the problem completely disables their furnace before they give us a call. Quite often that is in the middle of the night or during our peak service times when the wait times can be rather long.

The moment your system starts making that strange noise, that weird light starts flashing, or you smell something that doesn’t seem normal, call us! We should be able to get there quickly and possibly even save you some stress and money on a less expensive repair.

Ceiling Fans

During the summer months a ceiling fan should be blowing straight down (blades turning counter-clockwise) to help cool you off via a wind chill effect. Fan speed should be on medium or high.

During the winter months the fan speed should be set to low and reversed (blades turning clockwise) to help draw room air up towards the ceiling and force the warm air out and down.

A ceiling fan is just like a light, it won’t do you much good if you are not in the room so make sure you turn it off if you are leaving the room for any length of time.
