Christopher is a wonderful representative of your Company. I would recommend him (your Company) to anyone.
Overall great experience.
Chris did an excellent job in finding the damaged components and rushed delivery of the replacement motor and control board.
Explained everything he did, and what it needed to fix the problem, along with all my options. Very friendly tech.
Grogg’s gave us exceptionally fast service. Ordered the parts, installed the parts and keep me up to date on the progress. In addition, they sent an excellent technician named Chris.
Chris was very professional with a wonderful personality. He answered all my questions with out hesitation. He also went the extra mile when I ask him to show me how to operate my eco thermostat. I have had nothing but great service from Grogg’s and have recommended them to my friends. Thank you!
Chris Dehnart provided excellent service regarding our air conditioner. He addressed the problem and told me the alternatives including the best prices for the repair. He realized the urgency for repair due to health issues of the owner. Also, he called me early the next morning to tell me when the parts would arrive and when the repair could be made. Service Call Platinum Client System is about 9 years old R410 system. Lots of dirt on the condenser coil cleaned off and evaporator needed thawing out. Charged the system with 3 lbs 4 oz R410a refrigerant. Ending pressures were 147/342 85 degree day, 80 degrees inside. SH 9.8 SC 10
Service Call Platinum Client Furnace and R22 AC are 20 years old. Furnace passed the combustion test but there is signs of rust and deterioration on the inside of the heat exchanger. Replaced blower capacitor on the furnace, and condenser fan motor and blade + dual capacitor. Explained to the customer and tenant that the unit has reached its good use, average equipment lasts 15-20 years so moving forward you should be expecting higher priced repairs if they want to try and keep this system going. Equipment is currently operational with pressures of 78/205
Service Call Platinum Client Inspected situation. Building has a concrete floor, with two 3” pvc pipes that provide entrance for the line sets and power to the furnace room. Pipes as they leave the house are located in a low spot in the dirt, during heavy rains this fills up and submerges the pvc pipes allowing water to back up into the furnace room. Customer is having gutter work done which will greatly reduce the amount of water that collects there, but I recommended digging that area out and putting a drain just under the pvc pipes to allow any water to drain off down the hill.
Service Call Fee: System at 1572 Apt A. Could not check any of the equipment past a visual inspection, front door was tagged by AEP power that the electric was turned off. Visual inspection showed the furnace is 20 years old, entire system is covered in dirt and filth, no filter was installed and there is no location to install one. Floor under the furnace has rotted out and there are actually holes into the crawl space under the blower motor. Systems cannot run like this even when you install a new AC. All that filth and dirt will plug up the underside of the evaporator and choke the system. AC may be salvageable on this system but a new furnace must be installed with a proper filter, and the evaporator is going to need to be cleaned. Video and pictures available on request. Will have our comfort advisor reach out to schedule a free quote.
10 of the customers 15 vents were dampened shut which was the main issue with the coil freezing and icing up. Charges today are basically labor only for thawing the evaporator out and getting all the vents back open. Adjusted the fan speed up from 350 cfm per ton to 400. Removed 14 oz R410a to balance the super heat and sub cooling. Rest of the issues today were just setup and getting things dialed in which is going to be covered by your maintenance and warranty.
Service Call Platinum Client Furnace was installed last year by the previous home owner, but did not have the 20 year old ac replaced. System has R22 refrigerant, holds about 7 lbs and it is considerably low. Looking at roughly 800-1000.00 in refrigerant alone and a new evaporator coil would run another 2000.00-3000.00. Our comfort advisor is scheduled to arrive tomorrow morning to provide a quote for AC only.
Work performed under GHAC Quality Pledge: Recovered refrigerant, replaced filter drier and compressor, charged the system with 10 lbs of refrigerant. Performed a startup check and found the compressor to be dead on arrival. Correct voltage, compressor comes on but loudly and we have no compression, pressures are not changing.
Quality Control Check: Added 4.2 lbs r410a refrigerant complimentary for the customer while we wait for her part to arrive. System responded very well to the refrigerant so when the coil comes in the repair should be seamless, no guarantee as to how long the charge will hold, but our distributors said part should arrive shortly and it shouldn’t be a problem.
