It was fixed the same day I called....which is fantastic for someone who doesn't like this humidity.
Very knowledgeable and professional, completed the task in great time
Quick call out quick parts replacement and quick install. Couldn’t ask for more.
Didn't have part needed to fix leak under air cond. coil and was back ordered and I asked if they could take one out of one of the units they had in stock and they did and now it is fixed.
He explained what he did to fix the problem
Good experience with Groggs HVAC. Technician was honest, fair, and did his job well. Excellent customer service with Groggs.
Seem like the air conditioner was producing enough cool air. Last time we had it service (not by your company) the filled it had a hole in the line had to refill it charged us for both. It is nice to know there are companies out there that don't rip off their customers. Service was great!
Service Call Fee:2004 ac/1995 furnace. Ac low on refrigerant, capacitor weak, contactor in poor shape, blower wheel dirty, evaporator coil dirty, and clogged drain line. The estimate for repair is almost $1300. Given the age and condition of equipment, I would recommend the replacement of equipment versus repair. The customer is getting an estimate on Monday.
Service Call Platinum Client- the pump was in working order when I arrived. The customer had removed a bunch of gunk out of the pump before I got here, and the drain tube for the humidifier was not set in the pump correctly. Wiped water up off the floor and checked the pump for any leaks. The refrigerant level of the system is good. The drain is clear. There is still a little residual water coming from under the unit that will dry up soon. Added a metal brace in the filter rack to keep the filter from falling.
Service Call Platinum Client- 2002 nordyne ac had a failed capacitor. Replaced capacitor (35+5) and cleaned out dirty condenser coil. High head pressure from dirty coil is likely what killed the capacitor. Explained to the customer that the fan motor may go bad on the condenser as well. The furnace is from 1997 and the blower compartment is VERY dirty. The compartment and blower wheel should be cleaned if the customer plans to keep using equipment for a while. Given the age and condition of the equipment, I would recommend looking into replacing the system.
Service Call Fee: multiple issues found at the residence. The basement furnace is putting out high levels of carbon monoxide. The left burner has a yellow flame while the other three have a blue one. The drain line for the basement unit was clogged causing the drain pan to overfill. Cutline to clear the drain and cleaned out condensate pump. The upstairs furnace had a dirty flame sensor keeping the burners from burning. Cleaned sensor. combustion analysis came back fine for the upstairs furnace. The customer had ac charged a few months back by someone else. The upstairs unit is already low on refrigerant. The capacitor on ac unit downstairs is testing weak on the fan side. The customer declined repair of capacitor and refrigerant at this time. The customer is getting an estimate right now for replacing the furnace in the basement.
Service Call Fee:2018 Goodman ac unit. The compressor was not running due to a failed capacitor. The system has a 5-year parts warranty. Replaced capacitor under warranty. The condenser coil needs to be cleaned. The customer has elected to clean themselves. The customer is not interested in the maintenance plan at this time
Service Call Platinum Client- water is leaking from evaporator coil drain pans for both units. They are both heavily rusted due to age (1994). Unit on the back right side was low on refrigerant, added 2 lbs of r22 to the system to get correct levels. The system still leaking water. Evaporator coil and pans would need to be replaced to eliminate water leaks. I strongly advise against repair due to cost and age of equipment. The customer is going on vacation and will decide on getting an estimate for replacement after they return
PERFORMED AFTER HOURS SERVICE CALL
PERFORMED HVAC SERVICE FOR CUSTOMER
PERFORMED HVAC MAINTENANCE
Service Call Platinum Client- performed a cooling check on both systems, changed filters, and explained the operation of the thermostat to the customer.
Service Call Platinum Client- maintenance check on HVAC system. Changed filter and customer-provided water panel.
Service Call Platinum Client- cooling unit outside was locked out on code L1( low pressure cut out) due to a very dirty air filter at the air handler. Cleaned washable filter and reset the system. Took a hose and cleaned coil and drop suction pressure down to 135 also increased temperature drop to 20 degrees—cleaned drain. Inspection inside the cabinet of the air handler shows rust due to a dirty drain line and likely coil freezing up from poor airflow from the dirty filter. Signing customers up on a maintenance plan to help avoid things like this from happening in the future.
