Performed Platinum Comfort Club Membership Tune-Up on Cooling System 2010 split system w/ 16x20x1 filter. On outdoor unit found 40/5mfd dual capacitor out of range reading a 30mfd compressor side. Replaced capacitor and getting good amp draws and temperature at lines and through vents. All other checks good at this time. Would recommend surge protection for unit since it still has plenty of life left however is out of parts warranty given its age.

Service Call Platinum Client- customer had not run air conditioner since our maintenance visit in February. She wanted us to check refrigerant charge to see if refrigerant had leaked out. Charge in system looks good, if anything it might be a few oz low. System is not cooling the best it can due to age and conditions of equipment. Customer needs system to last another year before moving out. Added surge protection to the condenser today.

Performed Platinum Comfort Club Membership Tune-Up on Cooling System Split system with AA213 filter. All checks on system good at this time. Customer had a vent register issue, removed and cleared vent. Noticeable rise in gas utility bill this past heating season and was inquiring if new furnace played any part. Heating check in March showed no signs of issue with either inlet/outlet pressure at furnace and no hit on leak detector.

Work performed under GHAC Quality Pledge: Arrived to a frozen unit. Pressures were 98/321. I searched the system for any leaks with a digital leak detector and visually inspected for oil. I wasn’t able to find any leaks. I added one pound of refrigerant to get suction temperatures above freezing.

Service Call Fee:18 yr old system had a failed capacitor on condenser. Blower motor capacitor on furnace was weak as well. Replaced both capacitors and system is functioning again for now. Both motors will likely fail in the near future. Estimate to replace motor is $1200-2000. Unit a little low on refrigerant but customer has declined adding any for the time being. Tenant had a lot of furniture covering their vents in the home, explained to them they need to be clear for good airflow in the home. Homeowner has declined maintenance program, they don’t plan on having this home for much longer.

Performed Platinum Comfort Club Membership Tune-Up on Heating System 2012 York split system w/ AA413 filter. On furnace checks found inducer high on amps, however system is still operating at this time. Customer inquired about warranty replacement due to parts warranty projecting to end in November. However I explained the process and we will have to monitor the system to see if it becomes issue in future. All other checks good at this time.
