Maintenance on 17 yr old Trane system. Blower wheel has a build up of dirt and dust on it, quoted cleaning cost. Draft motor sounds rough on start up and customer has had issues of furnace not starting unless they unhook a section of vent pipe to the furnace. Informed to customer that section of pipe should be glued to prevent any fumes from furnace leaking into the home. Customer requested that I not glue that pipe. Customer had mesh wire on end of vent pipe to prevent birds and bees from getting into it. Informed customer that can cause issues with furnace start up closing pressure switches. Took wire mesh off pipe. Customer purchased a soft start product for their ac unit that we do not work with. Customer elected to install unit themselves rather than paying the labor cost for us to install it. Ac uses r22 refrigerant. Suction pressure seemed low but it’s 40 degrees outside. Informed customer to keep an eye on the cooling and to call us back it doesn’t seem to be cooling well.

Maintenance on hvac system. Blower compartment is gathering dirt and dust. Recommended blower wheel cleaning and an air cleaner for the system.

Service Call Platinum Client Found port of inducer to be plugged with debris cleared obstruction and drained verified operation of furnace cycled furnace 3 times with 10 min run times no issues at this time .

Service Call Platinum Client: after replacing the flame sensor, furnace was having draft pressure issues. I removed the fresh air intake pipe from the top of the furnace and found several wasp nests. I removed the nests, blew out the vent with a shop vac, and furnace is now running with no issues

Performed Platinum Comfort Club Membership Tune-Up on Heating System: flame sensor is damaged in multiple areas. was able to run furnace but it does have flame sensing issues. gas pressure was a little high while 10IWC. I adjusted it down to 9.87. amp draw on the motors are both good. current filter was in incorrectly, replaced and showed customer the air flow arrow on the filter for future reference. ordered new flame sensor for trane furnace.

TXV leaking refrigerant. Tightening and added charge. Unit running good now.

Performed Platinum Comfort Club Membership Tune-Up on Cooling System: arrived to find system running rough with lots of condensation on the duct and a very dirty filter. outdoor coil on condensing unit was also very dirty. replaced the AA213 filter, cleaned outdoor coil, checked electrical components and adjusted airflow at the board to 1400cfm for 3.5ton ac. system is running well with good refrigerant pressures.

Description of work performed for Warranty Customer Changed out warranty gas valve and set gas pressures. Tested operation and performed maintenance on both systems. Customer has a run going to one side of the house that has a hole in the duct that is not accessible. Notified customer of issue.

Arrived and found heat exchanger failed. Need to replace to make operable. Disabled furnace. Replaced filter for new system.

Boiler

Performed platinum heating check on both systems. Changed filters, both are operating properly at this time.

Installed gas valve. Adjusted pressures and system is operating properly at this time. Will need to return in the spring to finish tracing down where leak is coming from.

Flush kit, disconnect, add 30x8 floor return by entry
