I have been pleased with the service from Groggs but this time was not the best. I was without service for 2-3 days and temps got into single digits. I called during regular hours on a Thursday and was told to try something and if that didn’t work call back. I did as they said and when I called back I was sent to the emergency service as it was 10 minutes past 5. That technician was not helpful at all and told me if he comes he will charge me $150 and could possibly not be able to fix it until the next day anyway so advised me to call back in the morning (Fri). The young lady who took my call and when I told her what had happened she said she could get me in that next Tues. This was Fri morning. I said it is getting down to 4 tonight but she said there was nothing she could do. The ironic thing is that I had an appointment for the tech to come for my yearly service the week before this happened but Groggs called and cancelled that appointment and scheduled that next week on Wed. Because I could not get service I had to seek out another company and they came promptly and got my heat on. And did not charge me an arm and a leg to come. He told me the gas valve was bad and to tell your tech when he comes . Which I did. That Wed when your tech came he was very nice and checked everything. He said he made note about the gas valve having closed. He said whoever it was that came from the other company told me correctly. And it would be in the notes on my account for when it goes out. I was very upset. I’m a 73 yr. Old widow and am handicapped. Temps in the house were in the low 40s. I was really scared and upset. When your guy came he apologized for what I had to go through. He was excellent but the emergency guy I talked to that Thurs first call was not so much. I felt like he didn’t want to come at all. I think the guy who came was Doug and he was excellent. I must say this episode has shaken my confidence in Groggs.

I recently had a combi unit (boiler+water tank) installed in my house that was built in 1926. I cant complain about the service, installation and knowledge received from the installers. Everything thing was completed every professional and tidy. This is my second installation with Groggs, I had a mini split installed in 2016 and have no compliants, whenever issued arrived that were out of their control, they were always to remedy the issues.

diagnosed system low on refrigerant, 25+year old Lennox AC uses R22 and is operating with low suction pressure and low temperature drop of 13.5°. verified filter is clean and no vents are obstructed. system operating with 62/220. with 68° return temperature. furnace is approximately the same age as the AC and has significant rust inside heat exhanger. advised that customer should prepare to replace the system due to age and condition. the age of the furnace gives us safety concerns of potential CO getting into house. customer would like an estimate to replace the system, scheduled for tomorrow between 11-1.

Performed Platinum Comfort Club Membership Tune-Up on Cooling System and Heating System 2019 Trane heat pump system w/ 20x20x1 filter. All checks good at this time. No gas for emergency heat, all electric at residence. I would recommend surge protection for units given how it is all electrical. Systems are new and operating properly and the added protection would help ensure that remains the case.
