Your tech Klye went above and beyond to make sure that our problems were solved and that we had heat on one of the worst cold nights of the season. Kyle is to be commended and he is an employee that others should strive to be.
Follow-up service call

Just a note of thanks and appreciation to Grogg’s Heating and Air and to our technician Fred from the Parkersburg area. Amid all of the COVID 19 going’s on, we received a phone call from our local office and was advised the we were due a follow-up service from last year. We scheduled this for today Wed. the 25th and Fred contacted us ahead of the advised time and said that he was in the area and could come by and take care of our service. As I mentioned, this is in the midst of the Corona scare and I had concerns about our safety and his wellbeing also. Fred was VERY understanding and showed a lot of respect for our concerns, he advised me that he would respect our concerns and would do the service call or reschedule if we felt the need to. He made mention to me, as we all have heard that PPE are very scarce and hard to get so I provided some gloves and he proceeded to take care of our service and he kept our distance and the whole call went off very well and we renewed our service agreement with Grogg’s for another year. Hats off and much appreciated thanks to Fred and the Grogg’s team !!

Not so great

It was never set up right, the duct work was done wrong and they had to redo it. The thermostat wire was cut short so I had trouble with that too, now the duct work is dripping water above the furnace. And every time someone new would be working on it!
Response from Grogg's Home Services:
We are sorry James for the problems we have caused. I will follow up and reach out to you tomorrow.
The experience was one of the worst I’ve ever had was nine different people working on installing my furnace with problems with installation

Service Call back Found indoor coil frozen up. Unit inside is under return and not installed perhaps in the best manner. Low on return, dirty filter and turbulence after evaporator coil (in plenum) lead to system freeze up. Return smallest ductwork joint pulls 700cfm. Unit calls for 1800 to 2000 cfm. I cannot diagnosed any pressure/charge until airflow issues is addressed. Unit just need replaced and done properly.
Service Call Platinum Client system is a 1995 train air handler and AC, low on refrigerant, has a refrigerant leak(most likely in evaporator coil), has failed capacitor, pitted contactor. system has 5 lb factory charge running 29 PSI over one 30 PSI. system has refrigerant leak spoke to customer about repairing versus replacing. estimate total cost of repair between $2500-3000. to get it running system needs up to 5 lbs refrigerant, and a capacitor. customer would like an estimate to replace the system, scheduled for tomorrow between 9-11. signed customer up on cozy maintenance plan.
